GOOD SCORES IN SECOND ROUND The wet weather on Saturday did not deter some 45 golfers from turning out for the second round of the Nicholson Cup. That the recently increased par for the course was appreciated is evidenced by the fact that nine players had nett scores under par, while three equalled par. As a result of this a re.d.uction of handicaps has been ma.de. They are: S. C. Franklin from 8 to 6, R. A. Fredrikson U to 10, W. Phillips 14 to 13, S. Atkins 14 ,t0. 13, H. Black 18 to 17, J. On the same day Levin juniors travelled to Otaki to play. In the senior games Otaki won by 23 games to 6, with 4 halved, while Otaki juniors proved too strong for Levin, winning by 17 to 5 with two games halved.
