POINT-TO-POINT STEEPLES
The following horses are expected to race prominently at the Manawatu Hunt's annual point-to-point steeplechase meeting in Levin on Saturday: — 1.30. — Maiden Steeples (about 2 miles) — Vaals Mack, Mako-rokio. 2.0— Heavy weight Steeples (about 2 miles) — Big Shot, Horrible. 3.0. — Open Steeples (about 2 miles)— Battle March, School Tie. 3.30. — Ladies' Bracelet (about 9 furlongs) — Tavern Light, Phalaria. The programme commences at 11 a.m. with pony and hunters' competitions.
