DUNEDIN, July 10. When goods consigned ,to a Dunedin firni were taken into store on Tuesday, it was found that a case had been pillaged and infants' all-wool frocks to the value of £300 as well -as babies' ehristening robes valued at £90, had been stolen. The case was part of a consignment in the sliip Tower Hill and the pillaged case was among others which contained goods that are m better supply in the city than juvenile wear. Only about half a dozen children 's frocks remained in the casp in the original cartons. "It feeems that the pjllagers know what goods are in short sppply and con-' eentrate on them, ' ' said the manager of the firm. ' 1 The most unf ortunate aspect of tipa loss is that the goods were being eagerly awaited by mothers in the city. " C.hief Deteetive T. Y. Hall said that a small quantity of goods of the type pillaged had been found on the ship in the course of a recent police raid.
