SCOTLAND PREPARES WELCOME.

LYNDON, July 10. Scotland is preparing to welcome the King and Queen and two Princesses when they arrive in Edinburgh next Tuesday for a round of soeial and official functions before the King reviews the Home Fleet in the Firth of Clyde. This will be Princess Elizabeth's first visit to Scotland since her coming of age and the occasion will be marked by conferring the Freedom ot the Citv of Edinburgh upon her. The Royal party will drive in state through the city on July 15 and be received on the steps of Edinburgh Castle by the Lord Provost, Sir Jolin Faleoner, who will hand over the kevs of the city to his Majestv. Both Princesses will attend the Assembly ball in the evening. Eight hundred debutantcs will b'e presented to their Majesties at the garden court in the grounds of Holyrood Palace on July 16 and .there will be a further garden party for 8000 guests the follow ing day. The climax of the visit to Edinburgh will be a performance by rnassed pipers and a display of High land and Scottish countrv daneing in the forecourt of Holyrood Palace on the evening of July 19.
