AUCKLAND, July 9. An average yarding of beef brought a steady demand at the Westfield stock sale and all elasses. sold readily with quotations on a par with those of last week. Sheep which were penned in large numbers ineluded many good quality wethers and although there was a steady demand, values were easier for prime wethers. Prime ewes sold at late quotations. Lambs were penned in large numbers and again sold readily with very fifm values. Bidding for prime runners and vealers in a smaller yarding of calves was very keen, values showing a sharp rise on late quotations. One outstanding extra heavy prime runner' realised £.13.
