Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, July 9. Britain is stepping up efforts to locate new oil fields in the United Kingdom. Figures issued by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company reyeal tnat production oi crude petroieum from the company's oilfields in Britain last year was over 55,000 tons. The experts believe big supplies can be tapped in Lincolnshire and other districts. The company had already driven 400 wells of which 250 are already producing. It has field workers investigating potential oilfields in more tnan a ctozen districts m tne Midlands.
