MR. C. S. KEEDWELL ELECTED chairman At the annual meeting of the management committee of the Horowhenua County Patriotic Association recently Mr. C. S. Keedwell was elected to the chair. After he had taken the chair, Mr. Keedwell asked the members to stand in silence as a mark qf respect to the memory of the late chairman, Mr. P. W. Goldsmith." The annual balance sheet showed a credit of £1455. It was decided to carry on the association to meet the needs of any sick soldiers and their dependants. This is the only use to which the money can be put. The treasurer was instructed to place the sum of £550 in a National Savings account.
