AUCKLAND, July 8. When Yiscount Montgomery visits Auckland he will have a miniature gold fern leaf to wear with the gold kangaroo presented- to him by a woman in Australia. Tn a speech at the Melbourne Town Hall A^iscount Montgomery indicated Ihe kangaroo on his battledress, saying: ' ' When I am in New Zealand I will have to wear a fern leaf on the other side. " The president of the Auckland Returned Services Association, Mr. A. P. Postlewaite, said the association would ensure that Vlscount Montgomery got his gold fern leaf when he came to Axxckland. On Thursday, J-ufy 17, the Wellington R.S.A. 'will give a welcome to Field Marshal Montgomery who will be presented with the gold badge of the N.z. R.SA. by Major General Kippenberger, Dominion vice-president.
