NEW OFFICERS TAKE OVER

LEVIN ROTARY CLUB The new officers elected at the Levin Rotary Club's recent annual meeting were formally installed at the club's weekly luncheon on Monday. In relinquishing the presidency which, according to custom, is held for one year only, Mr. E. R, Winkler said that dur'ing the past twelve months the club had progressed, jand it now rested on firm foundajtions, He f.elt sure it would be of even greater use to the eommunity and as a ciub in the future, Memj bers would give the incoming presi- : dent, Mr. D. P. Todd, their loyal support and assistance in his committee work during the coming year. In handing over the club's charter to Mr. Todd, the speaker 'said he would do everything he could to assist Ihe new president to make his term a highly successful one, Responding, Mr. Todd thanked members and said he appreciated « the honour and the responsibility of the office. Rorary had gained jts place in Levin through the drjve i of its two past presidents, Mr. F, H, Hudson in the first ye.ar and Mr. Winkler in ihe becond, He asked for the QO-.operation of members in - the committee work of the club, and added that if he received this a successful year would lie ahead.
