WHEN the big ships pull into the wharves and the hatch-covers are taken up, there should be food waiting for men to fill the holds to capacity. There should be food, we say, waiting ... ready ! There should be, and there usually is thanks to the thousands of people who have a share in its delivery. There are the farmers who produce it, the factory hands who prpcess it . . . the truck-driver and railway men who carry it . . . the clerks who organise it. Yes, this food passes through many hands on its road to Britain, afid every orie of us can help in some way in making the maximum delivery in the shortest possible time. If every one of us can keep working to capacity that will ensure nation-wide production. If every one can save a coupon regularly and save waste that will make more food available to Britain from our ration-reserves.
