O. Mowbray, a gifted ■teacher and ardent church worker. whose retirement was recorded last month, died on St. Barnabas' Day at her home at Waikanae. The "funeral service at Waikanae was eondueted by the Rev. Paul Temuera, Maori priest of Otaki, assisted by the Rev. Austin Charles. Vicar of Petone. On Sunday, June 15, a memorial service was held at St. Augusiine's. The Ven. Archdeacon H. S. I. Kinney, of Masterton, i'ormerly of Petone, came speciaily Go preach the memorial sermon. A arge congregation, including representatives of the Maori people, paid tribute to her memory. Mr. Grant states that in Inia's last letter he said he was making good progress, arid had now fi'rmly settled down to his task.
