£100,000 NEEDED TO DEVELOP EMPIRE FORESTRY
» Received Tuesday, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, July 7. The chairman, Sir Roy Robinson, at the Empire forestry conference, made an "open and unashamed , appeal" for somebody to give not. less than £100,000 to develop Empire forestry. Sir Roy said that the Imperial Forestry Institute and the Empire Forestry Association were hampered by finance. He did not think that the Empire Govemments appreciated the overwhelming importa.nce of forestry in land utilisation throughout the Empire.
