MASTERTON, July 8. A meeting of settlers in the flood area of South Wairarapa, held at Kahutara last night, passed the following resolutions: "That the Government be thanked for its offer of assistance of loans at three per cent., but this meeting considers that interest free loans should be available to all settlers who have suffered by the flood, and that in certain circumstances the money should be given as an outright gift. "That the Government be asked to bring in the 4B scheme or any other contract scheme to enable the repairing of fences. "That -the Government be asked to immediately carry out a scheme for flood control in the South Wairarapa." -
