LAUNCESTON DISAPPOINTED

Received Mondav, 8.25 p.m. MELBOURNE, July 7. Flags and bunting which gaily decorated Launceston, are being taken down today because Viscount Montgomery is unable to visit the city. He was to have stopped there for two hours on his way to Adelaide but the Western June tion airfield 12 miles from Launceston has been closed for a week because of heavy rain. Viscount Montgomery was to have been given the city's biggesl welcome. The Albert City hall was lav ishly decorated and an armchair used by his father when Bishop of Tasmania -was on the stage for him to use. The school children were to have been given a holiday.
