Received Tuesday, 10.15 a.m. JERUSALEM, July 7. The Jewish Agency's political expert, Mr. Moshe Shertok told the United Nations' Palestine Commission that the Jews had no conflict with the Arabs. Dr. David Ben-Gurion, chairman of the Jewish Agency, said the Arabs should not be moved from Palestine to make room for Jews. Palestine should be a Jewish state under United Nations supervision for a period of time to allow certain work to be done, including an irrigation project covering both Jewish and Arab territory and the resettlement of approximately 1,000,000 Jews in Palestine in the next few years. Dr. Ben-Gurion added: "When these things are accomplished the United Nations should declare independence in a Palestine which would have a majority of Jews, but in which the Jews would not have greater privileges than others."
