INTER-SCHOOL SPORT

hutt play horowhenua Two football and two basketball teams recently travelled from Lower Hutt High School to play inter-school games with Horowhenua College. Football Play was bright and fast. Hutt's backs were outstanding in their brilliant passing rushes. Hutt won the first fifteen game by 26 points to nil. ' In the curtain raiser, played by teams up to 7 st. 7 lbs. in weight, Hutt again won, this time by 21 points to 11. Horowhenua fofwards held their own in the games, but the backs will have to improve their standard pf play if they are to become a useful rearguard and win games. Basketball The Hutt A grade basketball team played an extremely fast game to win by 16 — 13. The B grade game was not so exciting and again Hutt- won, 9 — 12.
