BACONER AND PORKER COMPETITIONS
On Monday, June. 30, the proprietors of Tomoana freezing vvorks held a field day during which entries for the Tomoana baconer and porker competitions were judged. Following are the prizewinning entries from the Wellington District Pig Council's area: — Baconers: Hartley Estate, Te Kehunga, 335 points, 1; W. Brown, Gmutaoroa, Dannevirke, 33d points, 2; A. B. Diclc, Pahiatua,- 332 and 328 points, 3 and 5; D. Mclntosh, Troup Boad, Woodville, 331 points, 4. Other conipetitors were: Dryden Thomson, Eketahuna, 325 points, C. Hercoek, Pahiatua, 320 points, J. W. Wilson, South Norsewood, 320 points. Porlcers: Levin Co-op. Dairy Co., Levin, 345 points, 1; H. and N. Meyers, Mauriceville, 339 and 337 points, 2 and . eonsol'ation 3. Other conipetitors were: I. M. Terry, K.D. Eketahuna (Y.F.C. 1), 332, J. Billington, Hukanui, 331, J. Heald, Takapau, 331, M. T. Burgess,
Maharahara, 328, A. W. Turvey, Te Rehunga, 325. Prizes allotted over both Wellington and Tairawhiti District Pig Counciis' areas: Porkers, I. M.
