OTAKI'S RAINFALL
OVER EIGHT INCHES FOR JUNE The • rainfall for Otaki for June was no less than 8.40 inches, the highest fall, 1.23 inches being on ;he 26th. Rain fell on nineteen days, while there were falls of jnow which were dissolved ,by the rain. There were three frosts on bhe last three days of the month and two electric storms. During the heavy rain of the last week of the month, there was considerable local flooding. There yas not one day of clear sky at 9.30 a.m. It was a really wintry month. For June last year there were 4.19 inches of rain, with fifteen rain days. These recordings were made by r. F. H. Critchley.
