WELLINGTON, June 25. A remit urging that the Governmeiu should bear the cost of quarantining stock imported into the Dominion by private breeders, was endorsed by tiie annuaj. eonference of the Royal Agricultural Society for consideration by the United Breed Societies' Association. Another remit asking for inquiries to be made from -Dominion stock firms with a view to securing a reduction in the overali eharge made for supervising the importation of stock, was similarly approved. The attention of the Government is to be drawn to the serious result of t'h« dispersal of old-established and historie stud flocks through the enforced subdivision of land. This was agreed upon with the passing of a remit. It was stated that the quality of New Zealand livestock was being detrim'entally affeeted. The remit added that the conference was, however, fully in aceord with the poliey of settling ex-service-men on the land.
