DARING THEFT OF CASH BAG.

Received Tuesday, 9.45 p.m. SYDNEY, June 24. A daring theft occurred in the office of an ice cream company at Manly about n.oon.' An employee was asked to change a £5 note and turned to open the safe. As he did so the man demanded the money bag. "When the employee shouted for help the thief elosed with him and drcw the ends of a necktie tightly round his throat until the employee lost consciousness. He made good his eseape with £60 in the cash bag, leaving Ihe unconscious employee to be I'ound hv fellow workers.
