FLEEING GREEK GUERRILLAS MACHINE-GUNNED

* ^ Received Tuesday, 11 a.m. ATHENS, June 23. Governmenf aircraft machinegunned the fleeing remnants of 1000 guerrillas who attacked Pangitsa, near the Yugoslav border, said Government sources today, Government troops, in a battle lasting several hours, are idid to have killed 30 guerrillas before the guerrillas began to retreat. The guerrillas burned 30 houses in the town and killjpd one Government soldier and' four "Home Guards." The Prime Minister, M. Maximos, disclosed that 700 people, including members of E.L.A.S., have been conderrihed to death since 1944 as enemies of the State. He denied reports that the Government intended to execute 120 of them.
