LETTER TO THE EDITOR

RESPONSE TO CORSO APPEALS APPRECIATED Sir, — May I express publicly through the medium of your correspondence column our sincere appreciation of the magnificent response of the people of Levin to the CORSO appeal for funds, and to the people of Shannon to the appeal for clothes. A. little over £100 was collected from Levin and approximately £350 worth of clothes from Shannon, and our thanks are due to all those men and women, boys and girls, who so willingly assisted in the collection. The people of China cannot thank the people of Levin and Shannon personally, so on their behalf CORSO offers this expression of gratitude. Yours etc., CLIVE W. PACKER-DOUST Wellington Provincial Organiser Wellington, June 17.
