WflijL.iiNWTUXN, june ZU.The Immigration Advisory Council consisting of eleven members has been appointed by the Government as follows: Mr. H. L. Bockett, Director of Eniployment (chairman), Mrs. J. Kemp and Miss Ethel Law, women members; Mr. J. A.bel, N.Z.R.S.A.; Mr. S. Gaspar, Rehabilitation Board; Mr. A. W. Croskery, New Zealand Federation of Labour; Mr. K. Baxter, New Zealand Fed eration of Labour; Mr C. G. Cainp, New Zealaud Employers' Federation; Mr. J. E. Salmon, New Zealand Manufacture?s' Federation; Mr. W. L. Wallace, New Zealand Workers' Union; Mr. S. P. O'Shea, Federated Farmers of New Zealand. The Immigration Minister (Hon. A. McLagan) stated that the Council will function in a'n advisory capacity to him and will also assist the Department in tlie implementation • of the Government 's immigration policy. Full details of the negotiations recently eoncluded with the • British Government will bt piaced before the Council shortly to gether with proposals regarding the occupational categories to be included in the free and assisted passage schemes.
