RAILWAY CLUB
The annual general meeting of the Otaki Railway Bowling Club was held on Wednesday night, Mr. Frank Rule presiding. There was a splendid attendance and considerable interest was taken in the proceedings. It was reported that the club's credit balance was substantial, even better than last year, while membership was also very satisfactory. Several new members were elected at the meeting. Mr. Horton reported that the gr.een was in splendid order, and that with favourable weather it could be used for the opening day in September. The following were elected officers for the year: — Patron: Mr. C. F. Atmore; president: Mr. Frank Rule; vice-president: Mr. A. Wact; secretary: Mr. Edgar Wilton; treasurer: Mr. A. D. Webster; 'committee: Messrs. R. Henderson, R. Booth, E. Hart, 'M. Symonds, A. D. Webster, N. Hannah and J. Connor; greenkeeper: Mr. Roy Booth; selection committee: Messrs. A. D. Webster and M. Symonds; gala day committee: Messrs. A. D. Webster, W. Rich, R .Henderson, N. Hannah and J. Connor; matchman: Mr. Roy Booth.
