MOTOR REGISTRATION
SPEEDING UP OF APPLICATIONS The appeal by the postmaster, Mr. L. A. Whitham, to the farming community to assiSt the staff by making the motor registration counter their first place of call, has met with a good response. There are still, however, some 900 vehicles not yet re-registered. In order to speed up the work and prevent a last-minute rush, .the motor registration counter will remain open till 5 p.m. as from Monday. Mr. Whitham stressed, however, that owners of vehicles should endeavouw to call eariy in the day and thus avoid queues. He emphasised the fact that both the third party risk, and probably the comprehensive insurance, would be mettective if a vehicle was not bearing the current sticker. There are only six days left, as the stickers must be displayed on July 1. They should not be affixed to vehicles ' before that date.
