Rainfall in Otaki , For the 24 hours up to 9 a.m. yesterday the rainfall in Otaki was 82 points. Football Meeting Lapses The fortnightly meeting of the committee of the Otaki Football Club, to have been held on Wedhesday night, lapsed, only three members attending. This was no doubt due to the boisterous weather. Paekakariki Plunket Society The Paekakariki Plunket Society is asking the Hutt County Couneil for a small parcel of land for a Plunket room. The reserve at the corner of Ocean and Wellington Roads is claimed to be suitable. Wednesday's meeting of the couneil asked the councillor for the riding, Mr. H. J. Eatwell to consult the local: ratepayers' association and bring' a recommendation to a later meeting.
