British housewives have been given a tax conccssion by Mr. Dalton ( Chancellor of the Exchequer) valued at between £8,000,000 and £10,000,000 He has reversed his Bmlget decision to apply the 66 2-8 per cent. purchase ta> on domestic appliances. Though sonn will continue so taxed things like gas and electrie cookers, electric kettles electric irons, boiling rings, hot plates, grillers and wash boilers j a're to be cxempt.
