HUNT AT HAUTERE
There was a large field at the meeting of the Manawatu , Hunt, on Saturday, when hounds threw ofi from Mr. W. Beauchamp's homestead at 2.30 p.m. A hare was put up practically straight away and gave f olowers a sharp run. Hares were very plentiful, fresh ones being put up continually, Consequently no kills were made, but the hounds were kept working and the riders active oh some very keen runs. A considerable amount of ground was covered during the afternoon, towards the close of which a hare was put up and a thrilling run right back to the homestead was thoroughly venjoyed by both horses and riders, The afternoon tea which had been prepared was most welcome, and much appreciated by all.
