hiAX" FKANCLSCO, June 10. A plane carrying the filin stars Jon Ilall and his wile Franees Lang'ford, [ was sliot down today as Hall 's pilot prejiared to land in a elover field near Santa Moniea. The aireraft was tv/(i feet up wlien a bullet liit the propeller. Ihe plane crashianded but nobodv was injured. The poliee detained a fourteen-years-old bov who allegedlv fired the sliot. He saiil he had been huntiug rabbits but denied that he aiiued at ihe plane.
