ON THE RIFLE RANGE
J FINAL SHOOT OF SEASON A precedent in rifle shooting was set by the Levin Defence Rifle Club on Saturday when the handi.cap standard was raised .to 35 at each r ange. That this was hard- on the scratch men was . evidenced by the fact that R. Catley and S. Lumsden, flring from scratch, each returhed 100 but did not participate in the aggregate prize list. J. L. Graham proved the winner ,of the aggregate in a shoot-off at 600 yards with J. F. Bryce. . Individual scores at 300, 500 and 600 yards, together with the handicaps and totals, were as follows: J. L. Graham1, 10/-, 31r-30 — 33 — 11 —105; J. F. Bryce, 5/-, 28—30—26— 21—105, E. J. McLeavey, 5/-, 30—34 —32 — 8 — 104, F. J. Graham, 2/6, 32 —34—31—6—103, J. G. Horn, 2/6, 32 — 34 — 33 — 4—103, Aanensen, 2/6, 33 —30—33—6—102, R. Cole, 2/6, 33— 30—29—9—101; R. Gurnev 29—34— 34 — 3 — 100, S. Lumsden 33 — 34—33 —0—100, R. Catley 34—35—31—0— 100, J. G. Rolston 22—29—28—21— 100, M. Fletcher 32—28—33—4—97, N. Jack 29 — 28 — 25 — 0 — 82, and J. Gray 20—26—21—0—67, This is the final shoot, but all members are asked to be present next Saturday morning when longhandled shovels will be substituted for rifles.
