AUCKLAND, June 16.
The first large seale attempt to transport livestock through the tropics, will be made during the next few months if the necessary shipping can be arranged. | Three Jews have arrived in the -Dominion to eonclude a deal for several hundred head of breeding and beef cattle which they intend to sliip to* Palestine to help develop the farming, industry following the increased immi-* gration of Jews from Europe ito their h,omeland. The principals in the -deal,. Messrs P. Torek and S. Treibatch and their shipping adviser, Mr. E. N. Beim," believe their plan has immense .possi■bilities in developing 'for New Zealand a ready market for its livestock in the Middle East. During 'the past tfeW; wceks the party has exaiuined -prosp'ectsi of obtaining stoelc ltere and they are satisfied Polled Angus and Hereford cattle which are available will siiit* their requiremettls. All the formalities required before the stock can be exported have been coneluded and ..orrly shipping arrangements "have to be completed. This consiitutes the biggest, problem so far but the pr.inoipals .are; optimigtic on this score. ■ - -asj
