Autrey fans .will be pleased .to liearni that, the; singing cowboy star's first big Wes.tern musical under his new indepkich ent producing set-up with Columbia will be a famous old range ballad, "The Strawberry Roan." One of Hollywood's top writing teams, Dwight Cummins and Miss Yost, who scripted such recent hits as "Smoky," "My Friend Flicka," and "Thunderhead, Son of Flicka," will base the screenplay on an original story, "The Bar B Stallion." The film is to be in technicolour. "The Strawberry Roan" is to be followed by three more Western musicals during 1947 and four- in 1948, all for Columbia release. *
