Ginger Rogers and Cornel Wilde are to co-star in Columbia's "I Found a Dream," a " romantic comedy by -vMelvin Frank, , and Norman Panamd. The film was due to go into production last, week. After a long period of convalesence from serious injuries received in Japan, Jerome Courtland, 20-year-old actor, has been given a medical discharge and will go before the Columbia cameras as a young Civil War veteran in "The Man From Colorada." The film is in technicolour and stars Glenn rFord, William Holden and Ellen Drew. Charles Vidor is to direct the picture. . As the detective hero of his next picture, "Double Take," Franchot Tone will be literally surrounded by beautiful women. Adele Jergens has been added to his femniine entourage, for which Janet Blair and Janis Carter were also previously announced. Misss Jergens recently completed a leading role with George Brent and Joan Blondell in "The Corpse Came C.O.D." ' The popular young Australian actress, Nancy O'Neil, has a role in the new Butcher Empire comedy hit, "Somowhere in Civvies," starring the inimitable Frank Randle, Britain's highest paid screen comic. The new film, "On an Island with You" will mark a reunion of •the Esther Williams-Cyd CharisseRicardo Montalban combination which proved outstanding in "Fiesta." Others already announced for the new production are Peter Lawford, Jimmy Durante and Xavier Cugart. Montalban will sing, .dance, romance and appear in a number of swimming scenes with Miss Williams. Montalban was a leading film star in Mexico when M.-G.-M. signed him to a long-term contract and brought him to Hollywood. Important musicals which Louis B. Mayer said will be screened this year, include the Broadway hit, "Annie Get Your Gun," with an all star cast headed by Judy Garland, and featuring Irving Berlin music; and "Easter Parade," based on Berlin's nostalgic tune of that title. Orson Welles has postponed his trip to England to make a film for Republic so that he can star in, direct and produce. The title ;6f the film is "MacBeth."
