WELLINGTON, June 9. Concern about the playing socks of the All Blacks now in Australia being on the short side, was expressed at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby L'nion today. In the course of a discussion it was leained that the All Blacks had very big legs requiring stockings of ample dinicnaions. One member reported that stockings were now on hand in Wellington that niight be bctter iitting and| they could be sent by air to Australia but the suggestion was tentative. The chairman, Mr. S. S. Dean, said he had received a cablc from Sydney this morning but there was no complaint about socks. However, if one should be received, the socks could be despatched immediately. It was facetitiouslv snggested that nothing should be allowed to stand in the way of the All Blacks "pulling up thoir socks."
