AUCKLAND, June 6. A party of about 30 New Zealanders and Australians wlio will attend the third World Convention of tlie Qiurches of Christ, is travelling to United States on the Marine- Phoenix whieli left Auckland for San Franeisco-today. The convention will be held at Buffalo, New York, during the first week of August and will be attended by 12,000 delo gat.es representing 40. different couutries. The New Zealand delegation is headed by Principal A. L. Haddon, of Dunedin, chairman of the National Council of Churches. Others on board the Marine Phoenix are Mr. R. A, Blampied (Nelson), Mr. and Mrs. S. McPherson (Nelson), Mr. and Mrs. O. Page (Nelson), Mrs. B. Styles (Christchurch.), Mrs. C. Ware (Christchurch), -Miss G-. Sutherland (Masterton) and Mr. W. Turner (Dunedin). Two Wellington delegates, Mr. E. P. Hollard and Miss M. Anderson, will travel by air. Although New Zealand and Austra'.ia had been represented at two previous conventions, it was the first time these countries had sent such a large dele gation, said Principal Haddon. This was due to the growing interest in the wrorld-wide aspeet of Christianity.
