SUCCESSFUL CLEARING SALE IN LEVIN The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile" Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their most successful elearing sale to date on account of Mr. S. B. Read, of Levin. The whole herd averaged £17 and this not surprising on account. of the quality of the offering. June calvers were much in demand, while July and August calvers also met with keen competition. The f ollowing are the prices realised: — June calvers, £16, £21, £22 to £23; July- August calvers, £14 lQs, £16 10s to £17; late calvers and three-quarter cows, £12, £14 to £14 10s; good well grown yearling heifers, £8 Is; weaner heifers, smaller, £4 6s; two-year pedigree jersey bull, 32| gns.; springing heifers, £7, £8 10s, £9, £10 to £10 15s. Sundries sold at late rates.
