ISSUED VALUELESS CHEQUES

NAPIER, June 4, Pleading guilty to seventeen charges of false pretences, Allan Mervyn David Rowe, 41, gardener, was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence. Evidenee showed that accused had purchased goods with valueless cheques at Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Wanganui, Gisborne, Hastings and Napier. Goods and money to the value of £269 were involved.
