SHANNON'S WAR MEMORIAL Sir, — Now • that Shannon's "thorn in the Side" — the year-old battle between.' the -ladies' .rest room an'd' the '-war memorial— has been satisf actorily . settled, it is the bounden duty of every citizen to erect a fitting memorial to those •ten local boys 'whbse .memory has been- dragged through the grime of local body politics. - • The memorial plaqu'e on- the Cenotaph was placed there by the R.S.A. They "paid all the expenses as a very smalFmark of respect to their fallen comrades. It is now the general public's turn to show their appreciation to those who served and shed: their blood in the cause of democracy, the democracy that gavfe -them the freedom to voice their opinion as to where and when the rest room will be
