CAMERAMAN PARACHUTES OVER NEW YORK
Received Monday, 7 p.m. NEW YORK, June 1. A camera enthusiast. who told the police that he wanted to take a bird's eye view of the city • bailed out "from a private plane over crowded Times Square yesterday. The jumper, Leonard Dattolico, a former paratrooper, carried a 16 m.m. motion picture camera and filmed Manhattan as he floated to earth. He had two parachutes strapped to his back, but used only one. Dattolico was arrested a few minutes after landing in a backyard near Times Square. He was'released on bail after being charged with a violation of the penal code by coinmitting an act which I might have endangered his own person or the property of others.
