Foxton. One surprise result was the defeat of College in the third grade section early in the day. Junior Final The final between Waikanae and Paraparaumu was a fast and lively game with no let-ups. G: Bryant, Waikanae, opened the score with a beautiful try under the posts after a passing rush. N. Thomey converted. Waikanae 5, Paraparaumu 0. Shortly after a penalty was awarded to Waikanae and Thomey added the further three points. Waikanae 8, Paraparaumu 0. Paraparaumu secured their only points from a penalty kicked by GClunie. Waikanae 8, Paraparaumu 3. Third Grade Athletic-. (had , a ;,clear ,cut win over Rahui by 11 ponits to nil. Renkin, Athletic, Qpened with a good penalty from three yards inside the Rahui twenty-five and five yards infield. Athletic 3, Rahui 0. Outweighted by the heavier Rahui team, Foxton put up a grand fight to win after being down in the first spell. Rahui secured the first points when L. Smith made a spectacular run from his own twenty-five to score beneath the posts, after outstripping all opposiion. W. Cook's kick failed. Rahui 3, Foxton 0. Soon after Foxton evened the points when I. Williams kicked a good penalty. Foxton ' 3, Rahui 3. Williams secured his side's other three points soon after with a brilliant try about five yards from the corner flag. The kick failed. Foxton 6, Rahui 3.
