BOYS' BAND HOLD ANNUAL MEETING

The , annual meeting of the Levin Boys' Band was held recently in the bandroom. The meeting,, 'which followed the usual Wednesday night practtce, #as fairly weil attended. The ehairman, Mr. H. A. Robertson, gave a report on the year's .activities of the band and also commented favourably on the financial position. The election of officers resulted as f oliows : —Patron : Mr. W. J. Hayfield; president: Mr. H. A. Robertson; vice-president: Mr. M, H. Boyce; secretary-treasurer: Mr,. J. B. Collett; committee: Mesdames Boyce, Collett and Millard and Messrs. W. O. Neas, Malcolm, Simpson, Benholm, Nicol, R. Hayfield, Trotter, Harris, Broughton,. Palmer and Maunder. The boys then held an election ■for their offieers "aftd it resulted as follows:— Band Sergeant: Bob Easton; Band Corporal: Brian Collett; Band Lance Corporal: Graham Nicol. Before the meeting closed the band played several items wKich were much appreciated.
