SHANNON STOCK SALE
Messrs. Abraham and Williams' Shannon stock sale was held at cheir yards last Monday in fine weather, when a good yarding of cattle came forward in good condition. A^noticeable feature of the local stock saies of late has been the absence of scrub stock. There was an average bench of buyers. Bidding was brisk and prices for fat cattle or anything showing condition were' up from 30s to •per head on rece'nt saies. The following were prices realised: — Fat . cattle: Trucx oi p.A. cows, £10 16s; good fat cows, ex-dairy, £8 15s to £10 15s; others, £3 10s to £6; weaner heifers, £4 10s; bulls, £6; line of eight springing Jersey heifers, £9 10s; heifers, r.w.b., £7 2s 6d; newly-caivea neifer, £10; heifers close to profit, £11. Once again the W.D.F.F. was to the fore and Mesdames R. H. Charter, E. Mqore and M. Dujany provided refreshments for sale patrons on the spot. Patronage was good and the. division's funds will benefit appreciably by the enterprise of its members.
