• BERNE, May 23. It is officially announced that the Swiss Government 's order from Britain of 75 De Havxlland Vampire jet aircraft at a eost of £3,000,000, is only the first step in the formation of a peace time air'forCe of at least 500' aircraft of the latest type. The announcement added that the Governmeflt liad decided to purchase Vampires beeause they were specially suxted for dlpine elixubing.
