YOUNG WOMAN KILLED
■ — » Fatal Accident Near Otaki When the cycle she was riding was irtvolved in an accident with an overtaking car on the main * highway, about a mile north of Te Horo, -at 5.50 p.m. yesterday, Miss Fatricia Maud Guthrie, aged W, reeeived severe head injuries from whieh she died within a few minutes. Miss Guthrie was employed in the textile factory at Otaki, and at the tinie of the accident Was returtting to Te Horo, where she resides with her patents. , The gar was driven by Maurice Richard Gore, an apprentice fitter, aged 18 years, of Levin. Miss Guthrie was dead when examined by Dr. Neate, of Otaki. She had suffered severe head injuries, including a compound fraeture of the base of the skull. Art inquest was opened at Otaki . this morning for evidence of identification, and was adjourned sirte die.
