MOVE TO REDUCE EGG PRICES
WELLINGTON, May 23. v A reduction in egg prices will be sought by the Hutt Valley Poultrykeepers' Association at a.conferenee of the Wellington Provincial Poul-try-keepers' Association, at Palmerston North. A remit is bein^- forwarded fixing the maximum price or eggs at 3s 6d per dozen from April 16 to July 1.6, falling forunightly at a rate to be fixed to 2s 6d per dozen in September. At a meeting. of the, Hutt Association last night, the president, Mr. B. Matthews, said the increasing price of eggs was not the solution of the. egg producers' problem. What was needed was a reduction in the price of feed. '
