POWER CUTS TO BE ALTERED
NEW SCHEDULE TO COMMENCE ON MONDAY As from. Monday next the morning power euts willi be reverted toi They will be for a quarter. of air. hour only, while the hitherto half-l liourly euts at 3 and 7 p.m, will be reduced to the same duration. The euts w,ill thus, be 10 to 10.15 a.m., 3 tb 3.15 p.m. and 7 to 7.15 p.m. This has been done to suit poultry farmers. . The power position generally is still poor> the Horowhenua Electrie Power Board barely keeping within its alloeation. It is hoped that with the return of school children from holidays there will be an easing in the demand for power in beach areas. There will be no special weekend euts, ahd no eut f onight or oil Sunday night.
