WOMEN'S INSTITUTES
There was a good attendance,. at the May meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute, Mrs. Kdberstein presiding. Arrarigements were made for the institute's birthday in June. MrS. Blake, bf Leviri, gave a most intbresting demonstration on patchwork, displaying mahy lovely articles. Mrs. Blake also exhibited many useful things made from old clothes by the Red Cross Society, and to be seiit OVefseas. The competitions resulted as follows:— MO'St original dish made from one packet of jelly. — Seniors: Mrs. Cliftig 1, Mrs. (3-iiy 2; jiiriiors: Deborah Guy 1. Mother's Day posy. — Seniors: Mrs. Netten 1, Mrs. Sanson 2; juniors: Debof ah Guy 1. -BeSt fiower. — Senior: Mrs. Kilsby; juhiors: Audrey Storey. Best shrub: Mrs. Kilsby. The meeting was brought to a close with a recitaticn by Audrey Stbrey to mother as it was the Mbther's Day meeting. ; ■ . g 1 . 1 11 1 . - --J _L .
