LEVIN'S MAY MEETING
There was a good attendance of members at the May meeting of the Levin Women's * Institute. Proceedings opened with the singing ,of the institute song, followed by the aspirations. Mrs. Kellaway welcomed all, and five new members were enrolled. The thought for the month was, "You can't keep trouble from coming, but you needn't give it a chair to sit on," Members were asked to knit peggy squares, to be joineds, together and made into quilts for CORSO. Mrs. Trotman, the reporting delegate at the recent half-yearly meeting held at Manakau, gave an excellent report of the proceedings and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The bring-and-buy stall is still very popular and is helping considerably to finance the parcels for England.
