WEDDING

THOMSON— BUICK The marriage took place recently at St. Andrew's Church, Carterton, of Nancy May, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Buick, Belvedere (late of Otaki), and A'ndrew Bruce, . son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomson,, Dannevirke. The Rev: W. J. Couling ofRciated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of heavy white cloque, with a raised waistline falling gracefully to a train at the back. She wore her mother's embroidered tulle veil and'orange blossoms afnd carried a shower bouquet of white gladioli and shasta daisies. A misty blue, full skirted frock, with tiny pink hows on the bodice and matching blue coronet with a short tulle veil was worn by the bridesmaid, Miss J'oan Breeze, cousin of the bride. She carried a shower bouquet of pi'nk tonings. The bestman was Mr. Jim Thomson, brother of the 'groom. The bride, on leaving the church was presented with pretty horseshoes by Jennifer Zabell and Sandy Waterman. • A receptio'n was held at the Maso'nic Hall where Mrs. Buick welcomed the guests. She wore a navy satin marocain frock with matching accessories. She was assisted by Mrs. Thomson, who wore a • wine satin back crepe frock, with -matching' hat, and black accessories. For travelli'ng the bride wore a blue ensemble and matching hat. Mr. and Mrs. Thomson will make their future home in Dannevirke.
