Signor Cacciatore, Socialist Minister of Communications,- said later that the three Socialist Ministers m the Cabinet informed the Premier that they regarded his decision- as designed to throw the blame for the crisis on the Socialist Party, and that they could not ac'cept such a responsi-bility. Signor de Gasperi's anti-inflation plan was also considered to have failed, bririging him under fire because the loans which he said the United States would make had failed to materialise.
